Coastal Scents Hot Pot Swatches (Part 5)

Another site wide 50% off sale means another Hot Pot haul for me! At this point I have all the eyeshadows I'll ever need for life so, unless Coastal Scents comes out with a new range of Hot Pots, (maybe some dedicated duo chromes?) this is likely my last haul. I managed to pick out shadows that were pretty much all really nice quality so at least I'm ending it on a happy note!

Like always, swatches are done without any primer on clean, dry skin. I've made slight adjustments in color balance in photoshop to get them as true to real life as I can, enjoy!

Palette 1

I've really liked the little blush samples that CS used to send out, and when I saw that they came out with new blush and bronzer pans I just had to try them out! Definitely didn't disappoint! They're nice and soft, pigmented, and easy to blend.

Blushes & bronzer left to right:

Mellow Coral: Satin finish, more of a pinky coral than a true coral. It's almost like a toned down Nars Orgasm without the shimmer.
Romance: Also listed as a Satin, this one has fine golden glitter throughout. They don't show up that much once applied.
Golden Dream: Matte finish, this is definitely golden, almost verging on orange. I use this as a blush when I want a natural sun kissed look to my cheeks. Apply it lightly for a natural look.

Eyeshadow Hot Pots left to right:

Deep Cider: Opaque shimmer. This is more of a neutral toned matte brown with tiny golden glitters that show up when applied with a brush.
Oatmeal Tan: Semi-opaque matte. A nice transition shade, it can come off as a bit orange-y though.
Paprika: Semi-opaque matte. A gorgeous dusty reddish-rose. I have green eyes and my go-to eyeshadow recently has just been a light wash of this all over my lid.
Reef Sand: Opaque satin. This has become my 3rd favorite highlight shade, after Nude and Flesh Tone/Nectar. It's a very shiny satin finish and a very pale golden beige.

Palette 2

Row 1, left to right.

Powder Pink: Sheer matte. This is basically a white eyeshadow, I don't see any pink in it. It's a nice white though, it is sheer but can be built up to opaque.
Chamois Nude: Sheer matte. I use it to lighten up my brow bone when I don't want to use shimmer. It's also really nice if you want to blend out edges into the skin since it helps blend out other colors to nothing.
Ivory Dust: Sheer satin. This one is kind of chunky, but also really soft. I've found that if you really blend it in, especially with your finger, it'll blend out to this gorgeous sheer gold shimmer on your skin that almost looks wet.
Champagne Orange: Sheer satin. A very nice, soft, muted satin gold.

Row 2, left to right.

Persian Peach: Semi-opaque matte. It shows up a little warmer on the skin than in the photo, almost like a really pale orange creamsicle color.
Tuscan Terra Cotta: Semi-opaque satin. I like this one better than Persian Peach. It's a more neutral tone of orangey-peach and looks more natural. It's also nice and soft and applies smoothly.
Sun Worshipper: Semi-opaque shimmer. I'd say this is more of a shiny satin than a shimmer. It's more toned down than it looks like on the actual site.
Caramelized: Semi-opaque shimmer. Forget shimmer, this is full on foiled! Absolutely gorgeous! It's a nice warm gold with the tiniest hint of copper in it.

Row 3, left to right.

St. Topaz: Semi-opaque shimmer. A nice shimmery, orange gold.
Golden Sienna: Semi-opaque shimmer. This is definitely opaque, and it's very soft and pigmented. A pretty neutral toned bronze.
Venetian Gold: Semi-opaque shimmer. The description on the website is accurate, this definitely is a pure gold. It's a full on yellow gold color.
18 Karat Gold: Semi-opaque shimmer. This is more on the opaque side, and a little deeper than Venetian Gold.

Palette 3

Row 1 left to right.

Melon: Semi-opaque satin. A very soft and pretty peachy pink.
Tangerine: Semi-opaque shimmer. A gorgeous orange shimmer with a hint of peach. I bought this specifically to use with my Colourpop Supershock shadow in Flipper and it doesn't disappoint.
Peach Brew: Semi-opaque satin. This is actually a matte with tiny silvery shimmers. They don't show up on your skin so it just looks like a nice matte peach.
Dark Salmon: Opaque satin. This is beautiful! It works really well with Paprika when I want a little bit of definition. It's true to the swatch with an almost golden sheen when the light hits it.

Row 2 left to right.

Fools Gold: Sheer Matte. This is a pretty muted goldenrod color. It's a little dry and a tiny bit patchy but you can still work with it.
Sundried: Semi-opaque satin. This is more of a metallic satin and it reminds me of a darker version of Colourpop's Weenie eyeshadow, which is my absolute favorite so this was an awesome discovery for me! It's a little more metallic than the swatch suggests.
Deep Viridian: Opaque shimmer. As you can see this is actually semi sheer matte with tiny silver glitter. It swatched a little patchy before I blended it with my finger but is a gorgeous blue/teal color.
Gypsy Night: Opaque shimmer. Again, this is actually a satin with tiny gold glitter. It's more of a soft warm grey than the deep greenish gold that the website shows.

Row 3, left to right.

Light Taupe: Semi-opaque matte. It's not as warm toned as the website shows and is nice to use as an all over lid color or for definition.
Camel: Opaque satin. I like this more for an all over the lid shade since it has a little bit of dimension in it.
Timeless Taupe: Semi-opaque matte. This would be a great cool toned brow powder for those of us with dark brows. If you do use it for your brows make sure to use a very light hand since it can get pigmented fast.
Deep Roast: Opaque matte. A very nice, deep neutral brown color. Perfect for a brown smokey eye.

Coastal Scents Hot Pot Swatches (Part 4)

Another Black Friday, another hot pot haul (plus some brushes, I might make a post about those once I use them some more)
I think the grand total of my hot pot collection is 177 colors, I've pretty much gotten all the colors that I like with the exception of whatever was sold out while I was ordering.
Alright onto the swatches!

I decided to go for a clear 28 palette this time since I didn't really like the regular 28 palette, the foam lining in that one didn't lie straight and was a little raised in the middle. I also like the fact that you can see the colors in this one and it felt sturdier than the regular 28 palette.

Here you can that it's pretty much the same thickness as my iPhone 5c, so pretty thin!

Nude: A warm beige hue with a slight satiny gold finish. Satin, Sheer.
Flesh Tone: A natural pale, beige hue with a golden shimmer finish. Shimmer, Semi-opaque.
Peach Silver: A creamy peach hue with a silver, shimmery finish. Shimmer, Semi-sheer.
Mauve Frost: An icy pink hue with a ultra shimmer finish. Shimmer, Opaque.
Mauve: A soft, dusty pink with a satiny finish. Satin, Semi-opaque. This felt more like a matte to me.
Spiceberry: A warm, burgundy-red hue with a satin finish. Satin, Semi-opaque.
Cinnamon Stone: A spicy, rustic brown hue with a satin finish. Satin, Semi-opaque.

Bright Copper: Metallic copper hue with a shimmer finish. Shimmer, Opaque.
Canyon Coral: A deep, bronze-coral hue with a satin finish. Satin, Semi-opaque.
Bungalow Gold: A light, golden-tan hue with an ultra shimmer finish. Shimmer, Semi-opaque.
Gold Strike: A metallic, deep gold hue with a shimmer finish. Shimmer, Opaque.
New Penney: A true copper hue with a shimmer finish. Shimmer, Opaque
Southern Wood: A rich, shimmering brown hue. Shimmer, Opaque.
Root Beer: A rich brown hue with a smooth, satin finish. Satin, Semi-opaque.

* I realize that I already Cherry Chocolate but that was intentional because I'm already starting to hit pan on my old one.

Burnished Brunette: Opaque, deep brown with a matte finish. Matte, Opaque.
Burnt Umber: Rustic, deep berry hue that delivers a matte finish. Matte, Opaque.
Miami Spice: Sheer tan hue with shimmering blue sparks. Shimmer, Semi-opaque. (Besides the few pieces of glitter this one is actually matte)
Chocolate Berry: Rich brown with maroon undertones and a shimmer finish. Shimmer, Semi-opaque.
Tanzanite: Velvety, deep blue shade with a satin finish. Satin, Opaque. (Go for Rainstorm instead)
Deep Eggplant: Shimmery, dark purple shade with subtle turquoise sparks. Shimmer, Opaque.
Cherry Chocolate: Rich, reddish-brown hue with a shimmer finish. Shimmer, Opaque.
Black Berry: Deep mauve and navy hue with a slight satiny finish. Satin, Opaque

Coastal Scents Hot Pots: New Haul and Swatches (Part 3)

You know me, I can't resist a good Coastal Scents sale, especially their 99 cent hot pot sale. Here's my most recent haul of their amazing eyeshadows!
(the palettes weren't on sale so I'm going to wait until their next site wide 50% sale to buy them)

Frosty Taupe: Shimmer, Opaque
Cocoa Diamond: Shimmer, Opaque
New Terrain: Matte, Semi-Opaque
Brownstone: Matte, Opaque (a lot of people on the site said they were using this as a color for their brows, I'm excited it try that out since most browns I use are too red toned for my brows)

Last but not least, some of the beautiful metallic shades! Seriously you can never go wrong with their metallic hot pots.

 Copper Glaze: Shimmer, Opaque
Light Bronze: Shimmer, Opaque
Deep Merlot: Shimmer, Opaque
Aluminium Taupe: Shimmer, Semi-Opaque
Ashen: Satin, Semi-Opaque

With these 30 new shades, that brings my total full size hot pots up to 110..woah. Although at 99 cents a piece there's nothing to feel guilty about, imagine if they had been Mac eyeshadows D:

Coastal Scents Hot Pots and Samples Swatches (52 colors)

*Colors are photographed in natural light and are very close to how they appear in real life, most colors are layered twice on my bare arm, some of the less pigmented ones are layered up to four times to achieve the same swatch pigmentation as the rest*

Samples

Arctic Breeze: Satin, Sheer
Laguna Green: Shimmer, Semi-opaque
Appletini: Matte, Sheer
Indigo: Matte, Opaque (This one was the least pigmented and sheerest)

I received a sample quad of the original Revealed palette. The shadows don't have any names so I had to guess as to which one's they were.

Hot Pots

I just received 24 of the 28 shadows in this palette today so this is my first time swatching any of them!
