Coastal Scents Hot Pots and Samples Swatches (52 colors)

*Colors are photographed in natural light and are very close to how they appear in real life, most colors are layered twice on my bare arm, some of the less pigmented ones are layered up to four times to achieve the same swatch pigmentation as the rest*

Samples

Arctic Breeze: Satin, Sheer
Laguna Green: Shimmer, Semi-opaque
Appletini: Matte, Sheer
Indigo: Matte, Opaque (This one was the least pigmented and sheerest)

I received a sample quad of the original Revealed palette. The shadows don't have any names so I had to guess as to which one's they were.

Hot Pots
Palette 1

I just received 24 of the 28 shadows in this palette today so this is my first time swatching any of them!

Vanilla Sky: Satin, Sheer
Sand Dune: Satin, Semi-opaque
Pale Nude: Matte, Semi-sheer, (this is a pink, not a nude)
Antique Lilac: Matte, Opaque
Fine Wine: Matte, Sheer
Maroon Berry: Matte, Opaque (one of my favorites, can't wait to see how it looks with my green eyes)

Cajun Craze: Shimmer Opaque
Golden Avocado: Shimmer, Semi-opaque
Amber Bronze: Shimmer, Opaque
Victorian Ruby: Shimmer, Semi-opaque
Raspberry Tart: Shimmer, Semi-opaque
Mazarine Blue: Shimmer, Semi-opaque

Bright Yellow: Matte, Semi-opaque
Marmalade: Matte, Semi-opaque
*Volcanic Blast: Matte, Semi-opaque
Vibrant Red: Matte, Opaque
Reef Blue: Satin, Opaque
Electric Blue: Matte, Opaque
Deep Grape: Matte, Opaque
Vibrant Prink: Matte, Semi-opaque
(all of these expect for Marmalade, Vibrant Blue and Deep Grape were very opaque, which is ironic. The blue and purple took about four layers to get to the color that you see, I was pretty disappointed with these two.)

Vibrant Lime Green: Satin, Semi-opaque (I would consider this a Matte)
Fresh Chive: Matte, Opaque
Chocolatier: Matte, Opaque
Incognito: Matte, Opaque (this one wasn't very pigmented with just a few layers)
Basalm: Shimmer, Opaque
Steel Blue: Shimmer, Opaque
Elven Midnight: Shimmer, Opaque (a beautiful deep purply gray)
Concrete Jungle: Shimmer, Opaque

Mai Tai: Shimmer, Semi-opaque
Medieval Gold: Shimmer, Opaque (my favorite, very pigmented and buttery)
Cherry Moss: Shimmer, Opaque (reddish brown and green duo chrome)
Forest Eve: Shimmer, Opaque
Bermuda Sand: Satin, Semi-opaque
Lakeshore: Shimmer, Semi-opaque (blue and gold duo chrome)

Dark Golden Olive: Shimmer, Opaque
Peachy Copper: Shimmer, Semi-opaque (large pigment particles)
Amethyst: Shimmer, Opaque
Kodiak: Shimmer, Opaque
Coconut Husk: Matte, Semi-opaque
Edgy Eggplant: Matte, Opaque (a little darker than Deep Grape and more pigmented)

Palette 3

Elven Gold: Shimmer, Opaque (very soft and buttery)
Raisin Berry: Shimmer, Opaque
Cherry Chocolate: Shimmer, Opaque
Niagara: Shimmer, Opaque (buttery blue, green and gold shimmer)

*I never realized how many shimmer colors I had, I love to use them wet or dry as liner though*

  1. This post is soooooo helpful!
I love Coastal Scents, but you typically have little idea of what any particular shade looks like until you actually receive it.
Fortunately, though, I haven't seriously disliked any of the numerous Hot Pots I've ordered.
Sometimes, though, I'm looking for a very specific shade, and images like these are invaluable.
